Our sweet boy is TWO!

Loving his tractor cupcakes
Happy birthday to our sweet, loving boy! When people ask me how I would describe H Berry, I think I often say he's cute and he's sweet. I swear, sometimes he will seriously melt your heart with the things he says and does, and those big brown eyes he looks at you with.
Zoo trip!
Everyone who meets H Berry almost immediately says that he's a mini BK- and he is, looks-wise. But on the other hand, he is pretty laid back and will go with the flow. He has a serious obsession with tractors and keys and was super excited about a couple of riding toys and numerous tractors/dump trucks/cement trucks and other construction equipment he got for his birthday. On par with most two year olds, he wasn't so excited about the fall clothes he received.
Hanging out in Monkey's truck
So what's H Berry like right now? He's pretty much the cutest thing ever. He will not hesitate to curl up on your shoulder and loves to give "big hug." He still loves the nite-nite Nani made him and he carries it around with him often and also has "baby" who sleeps with him in his crib. He hasn't climbed out yet, but his sister often climbs in with him in the mornings, so I'm waiting for him to try and imitate her and get out.  He is becoming more independent and learning that he will have to put his foot down with his sister or she will pretty much rule his life!
He doesn't always let her be the boss
BK and I think his mind is going a million miles a minute right now, so he's getting up earlier, but his vocabulary has absolutely exploded in the past couple of weeks, with him going from one word grunts to putting together four to five words at a time. Even though he doesn't come across as quite as independent as his sister, he definitely knows what he wants and will work to get it, including pushing sister out of the way or yelling at whoever is stopping him at that moment.
Swim lessons this summer
H Berry loves to swim and be outside, and loves to go on "Papa boat" when we're visiting Nani and Papa. Don't be alarmed when he pretty much walks off the edge of the pool and wants to swim to you, as swimming is now a full contact sport for me and BK. He's quite typically boy, and thinks it's hilarious when he toots, often pointing it out and giggling. He's starting to potty train, and BK recently bought him a urinal to learn to go in. I now know what other boy moms mean when they say there is pee everywhere...hopefully he learns to work on the dribbling all the time, everywhere
Loving being outside in "his seat"
I can't wait to see what the next year holds for H Berry and for all of us. I'm not really one who wants to keep them little, as I'm looking forward to them experiencing more and watching them develop their own personalities even more. I love the relationship that H Berry and K Bear have, and it's kind of strange for me to think that he's never known life without her. They're a good little pair and I'm looking forward to more adventures together as a family, including travel. Next up for us? San Diego in September with our little family of four!
