2019: travel, travel and more travel
**Disclaimer: I wrote this post Thursday on the plane (you'll know when you get there).
Well, the blog is officially crawling out from under the
rock she’s been sleeping under. I’ve often questioned why I can’t get something
posted, but I still don’t know the answer. Too much writing at work? Political
or hot button issues on my mind? Mom/wife guilt about writing instead of spending
time with my people? Whatever it is, I couldn’t seem to make the time to get my
thoughts in order.

Practice round on Spanish Bay |
BK and I started the year strong and rang in 2019 at Pebble
Beach. For those of you who are reading and don’t know, we went to Napa and Pebble
Beach in October for BK’s 40th birthday. While we were there we
learned about a New Year’s tournament at Pebble Beach and decided we should come
back for it.

Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay and 17-mile drive in general is
incredible- the landscape, the food, the golf- it’s all ridiculous. The trip
was great and a little out of character for us, as in the past we have rarely done
anything exciting to ring in the new year, but this trip included a few rounds
of golf, cocktail receptions and a masquerade party on New Year’s Eve. Such a
fun trip- highly recommend. No kids allowed.

We arrived! |
At the beginning of this post I mentioned we were on a plane,
embarking on trip #3 of the year, and this is a fun one! This morning Cookie,
TR and I surprised the kids with a trip to Disney World. It was ridiculously
hard to keep this secret from them, but somehow we, and the fam, pulled it off.
I’m still not sure they realize where we’re going, but I can’t wait to see when
they realize it.
Fun times ahead this year!
