This might be why I can't get a good night's sleep |

Also him |
I swear our kids used to sleep through the night. All night. In their own beds. But lately K Bear and H Berry are not really feeling that whole gig. They were kind of all up in arms with BK gone for 12 days. K Bear sleeps with me (or a grandmother if one of them is here to help) when BK is out of town, and she is a serious snuggle bug. I often tell BK that I feel like a turtle- I'm the turtle body and K Bear is the shell that is literally on my back. Thank goodness we have that king-sized bed?? H Berry is out of luck and stuck in his crib, but that does not stop him from kicking the side of his bed, calling out for us, waking up at 5am, etc., etc.

Really great to have this king-sized bed |
So the quest for a decent night's sleep is kind of alluding me right now. Between waking up early to workout with Cookie, getting up with sick people in our house and other random stuff, it's just not happening.I am really looking forward to the day off tomorrow when we have NOTHING planned.

One of the perks of working out pre-dawn |
So what have we been up to? You know...a lot of what May brings for families with young kids- dance recitals, end of school stuff, Mother's Day, planning for the summer and that sort of thing.

SO. DARN. CUTE. |
So yeah, we've been doing a lot of living life. Nothing too exciting or exotic, but still fun. The littles keep us busy and on our toes and summer brings us lots of time in the sun, time with family and a little bit of travel (one big trip for BK and me). I'm still on the search for a getaway for the four of us, so we'll see how that turns out. Seeing as the temps for this week are supposed to be over 105*, I wish everyone luck with keeping cool- I think a difficult task lays ahead of all of us!
